A rise in allergic reactions to gel and acrylic nails
With the ever-expanding reliance and use of aesthetics and the growing popularity of treatments, Underwriters’ exposure to claims arising from non-clinical procedures may require further consideration given the recent announcement from the British Association of Dermatologists (BAD) of a rise in allergic reactions to the application of gel or acrylic nails.
Crawford’s Medical Malpractice & Clinical Negligence Team, part of Casualty Specialist & International Risks, has extensive experience in investigating the causative aspects of exposures and alleged resultant allergic reactions, ably supported by our Product Liability & Recall Team in examining the product, its design, use and application.
